Ms. Cohen began her career of helping people while working at the City University of New York (“CUNY”) as a counselor, and college administrator. During her tenure at CUNY, Ms. Cohen earned a Master’s of Science in Education degree in Counseling from CUNY’s Queens College. 

 Subsequently, Ms. Cohen earned her J.D. degree at Hofstra University’s School of Law (“Hofstra”), where she is currently an Adjunct Professor.  Ms. Cohen teaches law students the art of fact investigation, as well as teaching Real Property in the ABA accredited Paralegal Program. 

Ms. Cohen was named Pro Bono Attorney of the Month, as well as an Access to Justice Champion, from the Nassau County Bar Association.  

Most recently, Ms. Cohen has become a NYS certified mediator, and arbitrator. 

 Ms. Cohen is admitted to practice law in the State Courts of New York, as well as the Eastern and Southern Federal District Courts of New York.  

Ms. Cohen is a member of the New York State Bar Association, where she is a member of the Dispute Resolution Section; the Suffolk County Bar Association, where she is a member of the Education Committee; the New York State Trial Lawyers’ Association; and Yashar.
